Society of Geological Engineers and Technicians of Serbia (SGEITS) was registered with the Agency for Business Registers — Register of Association, in accordance with the Low on Associations 30.09.2010.
About Us
SGEITS, Society of Geological Engineers and Technicians of Serbia (in Serbian: Društvo geoloških inženjera i tehničara Srbije;
acronim DGEITS) is a voluntary, non-governmental, non-profit, professional - scientific, organization of geological engineers and
technicians in the Republic of Serbia, founded on the basis of free associating.
SGEITS is open for cooperation with other professional - scientific, commercial and other organizations, on the basis of mutual
recognition, mutual respect and independence in work.
SGEITS is organized for the purpose of realization of the aims and tasks of
mutual and general purpose and interest.
History
History of SGEITS is closely related to the work of the Union of Engineers and Technicians of Serbia (UETS) and the Union of Engineers and Technicians of Yugoslavia (UETY). Within UETS, which was established in 1868 in Belgrade under the name Technicians` Society (since 1890 Serbian Association of engi-neers, since 1896 Serbian Association of Engineers and Archit-ects, since 1945 Society of Engineers and Technicians of Serbia), and UETY after the Second World War, the sections/associations of many professions have been formed. Changes the state in the early nineties of the twentieth century (the formation of FRY) also led to organizational transformation of geology within UETY and UETS. In 1992-3 the Union of Engineers of Mining and Geology and the Union of Metallurgical Engineers and at 10.02.1995 the Union of Geological Engineers and Technicians of Serbia (UGEITS) have been formed. From 10.05.2010 UGEITS bears its present name - Society of Geological Engineers and Technicians of Serbia (SGEITS).
SGEITS's Bulletin
SGEITS published its bulletin under the name DGEITS Bulletin. It is published quarterly and brings news of the SGEITS and news in geology.

SGEITS as a collective member of the Union of Engineers and Technicians of Serbia is a member of the European (FEANI)
Engineering card
Еuropean Federation of National Engineering Associations (FEANI) issues engineering card and eur eng title, in cooperation with its member-national engineering associations.
The engineering card is a professional card which is issued in accordance with prescribed procedures of FEANI, in the English language and is valid for 10 years. The engineering card provides information about the cardholder, his formal qualifications, training and work experience through Excerpts from the National Register of Engineers. In Serbia the Commission on the National Register, established by the Union of Engineers and Technicians of Serbia, as a national partner of FEANI, will issue the engineering card
